I just wanted to ask if anyone has an engine profile available for ACC?

I installed my first Dayton BST-1 to my rig the other day and purchased a copy of SimHub which I'm very pleased with.

Trouble is I'm not an audio engineer and just wanted to ask and see if anyone else is passionate about engine feedback realism from the BST-1 or alike?

Many people suggested not to bother with engine feedback and just assign wheel slip and road bumps etc instead, which is fine if your into the racing side of things as you get more feedback from what the car is doing when racing, but for me it's about how the cars engine sound feels. It's not everyday I get to sit in a GT car so I'm trying to get the best simulated experience. 😅

If there are no profiles, any tips into the engine frequency settings would be greatly appreciated.

Also.. Is there a way to paste a screenshot.?

Thank you!

Here are my F1 23 brake-Lock, wheel Slip, and suspension telemetry NCalc Formula bindings for use within the bass-shaker custom effects. Data converted to output values between 0 and 100.

F1 23 sends positive and negative values for suspension and wheel slip. You can observe the data while driving and find the maximum and minimum values using the "plot" option once you find & right click the target telemetry data in the "Available Properties" tab of SimHub (had to check the "show game specific properties ('rawdata')" box for to find these specific properties). Use this max/ min range (enable anti-clip) from the live telemetry plot to determine the amount of compression or amplification the data needs in the shaker effects NCalc editor so the absolute value of the data is always between 0 and 100. Test by driving with the bass shaker live feedback plot open and tweak multiplication or division NCalc values to compress or decompress the output with more precision & to your preference, then fine turn and customize with thresholds/ linearity curves and input gains.

I did burn out, hard lockups, rumble strip surfing, and wall ramming tests to find the most communicative values and their respective value extremes.

In F1 23 telemetry the four car quadrants of the suspension and wheel properties start at (1) Rear Left, (2) Rear Right, (3) Front Left, (4) Front Right

these are my solutions; I have one bass-shaker so I usually just run the Wheel Slip effect for performance and only toggle suspension effects for immersion.

→ Wheel Slip (provides localized Acceleration traction and Brake Lock feedback)

I've been working on one myself, but it's been a little tricky to get all the various main vibrations to work without having them be overpowering on my buttkicker. lol I've also wondered if using the auto calibration feature my be a good option, but I'm still new to using SimHub's bass shaker setup. Previously I just used audio output to my rig's buttkicker, which does work pretty well in most games. Using SimHub's options though enables some SERIOUS fine tuning of what effects you do and don't want. :) I was surprised there aren't more shared profiles for various games posted here in the forum though.

This is a set of 3 CUSTOM EFFECTs to simulate sensations experienced on track from street tires, which squeal with light loading and minor slippage, progressing to lower-pitched moans with increasing loads and slippage, then finally juddering near breakaway.

The first CUSTOM EFFECT simply allows the user to tune accelerations provided by SimHub 7.3.14.

A second CUSTOM EFFECT allows tuning SimHub's wheel slips to better warn near breakaway

A third CUSTOM EFFECT generates tactile feedback by converting tweaked accelerations to wheel loads and applying to conditioned slips. For example, a fully unloaded wheel generates no feedback..

A fourth CUSTOM EFFECT has been added to generate warnings when unloaded rear wheels begin slipping (oversteer while braking or lifting throttle). Steering wheel force feedback is good for warning about understeer; trailing throttle oversteer is trickier...
