@jim54230 yes, I had to set the pins to 9 and 11 on this board, which is different to instructions I’ve seen. Be careful of the colours too. I used a 4 pin fan, which is said you can’t use but is absolutely fine now.

Hi guys,

I’m a complete noob when it comes to creating stuff, but I always love giving it a go, so bear with me!

I’ve just bought the following, having watched a couple of online tutorials:

Arduino Uno
Cytron Motor Shield Dual Channel (MDD10)
2x 4 pin fans
The correct rated 3A, 12v power supply

Steps I took:

I’ve wired up the power supply into the shield, positive to positive, negative to negative.
I’ve then wired the yellow, positive fan wire into M1B
I’ve then wired in the black neutral to M1B
I then plug in the shield, that powers up.
I plug the Arduino into the PC, that powers up.
I uploaded the software to the Arduino, following the online guides and using SimHub. Go to test it and nothing, no fan movement. Annoying, but there we go.

I suspect I’m not doing something right with the other 2 fan wires just sat there, or the thing I don’t want, buggered it up completely.

Any advice at what to look at first to diagnose?
