RE: New ETS2 Dashboard for SimHub UPDATED for ATS | 3 Relevance | 1 year ago | eder.merino | Dashboard Templates
@nigeuk Hey nigeuk, I really appreciate your work with this dashboard, but I am having some trouble regarding the Engine Start button. I have already read the discussion and tried all the above solutions, but none seemed to work. I've read that while holding the foot brake, the yellow icon on the dash should disappear, but it doesn't. I've tried restarting both the game and SimHub and reconnecting the Steering wheel to the PC, but any of that made any change. Even if I press the foot brake from the key binded on the keyboard, there is no difference. It is a bit frustrating, because it is the only thing that is not working. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

Aha! OK. I paid for the use of the images and modded them to suit my dashboard. Not a huge amount of money, but it’s my own time I used, but it’s still work. Lots of GIMP editing! If you’re going to make regular money from your dashboard, then a credit to me and a percentage would be nice. If not, then a credit to me and a link back to this thread would be enough. Either way, it would be great if you’d send me your dashboard so I can have a look and of course if I implement any of your work in my future updates, then I would credit you. If you want to discuss in more detail in private, I’m on the SimHub Discord server and I think you may be able to message me there.

@nigeuk So basically, I started a pretty over engineered ETS2 Dashboard myself a while ago, originally intended for private use. Now that this developed into something huge I started to consider putting it out for others to enjoy, but I ran into one issue: I originally used your button textures and some of your icons from this specific dashboard, thinking I don't need to design my own if only I use it anyway, not knowing I might ever publish it or consider doing so. Now that I've read you made them yourself I assume you wouldn't be too happy if I just blast them out there under my name, even with attribution on my documentation, so I was wondering if there was some way to either buy some sort of license / buy the needed elements from you or if you'd prefer me to take them out completely (which would be no issue at all, I just wanna make sure before you hate me) Cheers, Ti

@maggiolino78 Hi again. I’ve looked again at the telemetry document from scs and there is no mention of engine/motor brake increments. The only data we have therefore for the engine brake is whether it’s on or off.

@maggiolino78 Hi there! Thanks for your kind words. I don’t recall seeing any engine brake (motorbrake) telemetry in Simhub or Truck SimulatorPlugin other than the on/off status that I use in my dash. I know that there are keybinding options for increasing/decreasing the engine brake, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that the telemetry is available. Trailer Brake is another example where it exists in the sim, but not in telemetry. However, I will have a look late today and see if I can find anything.

Hello, I greatly appreciate your work as I was looking for something like this. The thing is that I am looking for a visual indicator (just like your retarder panel) but for the engine brake wich also has an increase / decrease option and i cannot seem to find the game asset files for it. Can you lend a hand ? Many thanks in advance
RE: ATS Dashboard Gauge Help | 3 Relevance | 1 year ago | NigeUK | Dashboard Templates
Hi there, Sorry for a late reply. Your best bet is to download some existing dashboards and have a look at what others have done with Simhub to create such gauges. |
