Hi @NigeUK the dash works great on my 10" HuaweiT5, I completed config and deleted the config screen...all ok..but I cannot change keyboard assignments...

I watched the attached tutorial on you tube and found the buttons I'd want to change but...I do not see the keyboard assignment and where to change it....can you tell me how, plse?

Every tutorial i saw talks about creating a new button not how to modify an existing one...

thanks in advance

p.s. very good gonfig tutorial 🙂

@kronk2020

Hi there!

Thanks for you kind words.

The button assignment in SimHub for most buttons in my dash can be found in the Properties window, which by default sits bottom right of your screen. You may need to scroll down the list of properties to find the keyboard assignment property.
You need to click/select the button in dash studio, then scroll down through the properties to find the emulated key.

The instructions here show the Properties window (Name is at the top, then physical properties like border etc.. the key emulation propery is way down near the bottom.

https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/wiki/Dash-Studio---Creation-Tutorial

If you have difficulty with this, then you could consider changing the keyboard settings in the sim to those in the dash!

Aaaargh, @nigeuk, the properties window was not selected in editor windows...or at least it seems so 😯 😯 ..anyway now I see it.. after 40 years working as a software developer for me it's fine, no matter how 🤣 🤣

ok, let's try if it really works in game... 🖐️

Yesss, it works, now wipers are working...great!

@nigeuk just a little more question: is it possible to run two dashboards at the same time?? .. just one for buttons and one (on another device) for telemetry and other infos?

tks in advance 😀 🖐️ 🖐️

@nigeuk ...you too!?! we can say "you write -IT men- (and women of course) and you read -odd and strange guys-" don't you think so?

Right now I have to work on my buttons...

p.s. did you ever work on SAP? 😉

@kronk2020 Excellent! Well done.

I'm pretty sure that SimHub doesn't currently support multiple outputs, but in theory one could use another solution in tandem with SimHub as long as there was no conflict with the plugins.

@kronk2020 LOL!

Yes, I did a couple of projects on SAP. Mainly training, but business analysis too.

I got taken out by Covid, and this dash has been part of my rehabilitation. Some coding, design, testing, resource gathering… I didn't realise until it went live that I'd subconsciously approached it as a work project - Proof of concept, initial design, resource gathering, initial build, project creep, testing, testing, release.
The only difference was that I didn't have a PM pushing me to get each stage done by last Friday! 😜

@nigeuk My ipad air 2, no matter safari or chrome, occasionally keeps crashing when it is about to show the dashboard.  Any idea?

@sirhideo Hi there,
Sorry I'm not sure why your ipad crashes.

It may not be powerful enough for the dash. Can you run other dashes ok?

@sirhideo It may well be that the ipad isn't up to running the dash. I run it on an 8th gen ipad ok, but it won't run for me on an ipad mini.
