Hello.

I´ve made this tutorial to do an arduino gear indicator, and all want fine. I even can flash the arduino and the flash is correct, but then, in the scan, Simhub always show the COM port like : Unrecognised.

I have tried diferent drivers and all have the same results. Anyone with the same problem? I´ve check the forums and don´t find any clue that could help...

The arduino board works perfectly loading example sketches with the Arduino program.

Thank you guys.

Hi !

If you can upload it means the the driver is correct. I would look first at wiring if there is no shorts and if pins are in the correct order, look for bad solder, weak connections .... Another possibility is the lack of power preventing the Arduino to correctly start, often bad usb cables or usb hubs cope into play here. If you are using an RGB matrix, power is a huge factor and depending of your Arduino you might need to add an external power supply (it's not required most of the time, but it can happen.) : https://github.com/zegreatclan/SimHub/wiki/Arduino--Setup#powering-considerations

Simhub always shows the COM port as: Unrecognized. The same thing is tested on a PC, but it is displayed on a laptop. I reinstalled all drivers((

@turboone I have the same issue. How did you downgrade the driver? Which driver version did you use? Where to get it?

I would like to do that and wait until the new drivers are fixed.

Cheers!

@turboone OMG genius! It worked! THanks a lot!

Quick addition: after unstalling the recent driver and installing your driver, windows immediately re-applied the recent driver! I went back into device manager, went to driver information. Then there was a button for reverting back to an old driver. Clicked on that and then it applied your driver! Simhub immediately recognised it!

Thanks a lot!

to me it is not clickable reverting back to an old driver.

Aafter restarting the PC you have to check if wUpade updates the drivers again, it does it to me

well that explains it, note to self, next time check forums BEFORE you flash new boards, and reflash, and reflash and flash some more.  haha

any suggestions for boards that don't have this issue?  I seem to have 2 that are working just fine, but as far as I know mine are all the same manufacturer.

I just use them for simple LED strip/matrix things, nothing major (for iracing)

Hi, I got 2 AZDelivery boards that only work the way mentioned above, with the driver mentioned above.

Which brands have u got that are working? Do you also have boards of those brands that do not work?

Hi guys,

have a try of this 2022 driver. After restarting windows and plugging arduino in and out a couple of times, windows has not YET reverted back to the 2023 broken driver.

File name is the same as linked above but it is a newer version.

https://paradisetronic.com/pages/treiber

No guarantee for the security of the link and files. Got it from the paradisetronic Amazon.de page for the Arduino Nano v3.

Let me know if that solves the problem for you!

Also: before I installed the 2022 driver, I downloaded and installed this:

https://support.arduino.cc/hc/en-us/articles/4411305694610-Install-or-update-FTDI-drivers?queryID=undefined

no clue if this was of any help for me. it did not solve anything for me immediately. just being transparent.

@tomjaytea Have you tried enabling automatic updates again, rebooting and searching for updates manually?
Try it and let us know if after the manual search w11 finds new drivers or leaves the ones you found
