Hi, I'm tring to configure two bass shaker Right/Left but I have a strange problem.

The power of the two channels is different, in the settings to have the same feeling, I need to set gain 60 in the first channel and 40 in the second.

In a first time I thought it's a problem with the amplificator but I reversed the channels (reversed the input cables to amplificator) and I saw it'snt a amplificator problem! reversed the cables I had reversed the gain problem!

At this time i thought it's a problem of the sound card (I had a 7.1 USB card) and i tried to connect another sound card (the onboard mobo sound card), But I have the same problem.

Now I think this is a software problem! Possible?

Hi !

I will check that, I got already similar reports but nothing I could reproduce yet. In parallel could you check with simple headphones? Jack to rca cables are well known for bad contacts on the jack side (I don't know why these cables are so unreliable :D) Also do not hesitate to configure the sound card according to your setup : in this case you need to configure it in stereo (make sure to do it both in windows settings and drivers if there is a control panel allowing to configure it), avoid any 5.1 ... 7.1 ... etc to avoid any unwanted side effects.

You can also control the output as reported by the sound library here, it will give you a reliable preview of the current output level :

I did these tests:

- I tried with another RCA Cable, nothing changes! The problem remained!

-I  tried to connect a simple headphones to the jack of the sound card, with the headphones is very difficult to feel the difference but I think there is however when I test the right channel I can feel the effect in both the channel (in the left channel less intensity) and the same if I test the left channel.

- I tried to connect a usb headphones, all is ok, I can feel the same intensity "right and left" and when I test the channels I feel the effect only in the selected channel!

I have check the soundcard configuration, I have set it in stereo.

I forgot to test the integrate soundcard with the simple headphones, I'll to do this in the next days.
