Hi everyone, I just joined the forum because facing following issue. I have been running Simhub for some time without problems. I recently upgraded to a USBD480 dashboard (Simcore) which is fixed connected to my PC by USB. That runs well! I then purchased the 2x Power Wind set from Sim Racing Studio (SRS). This connects to PC via USB and runs its own SRS Software.

The only game I play is F1 2020. The issue I have is: as soon as I open the SRS software and start to drive the Dashboard stops working and returns to its main screen. The only way for it to respond is to unplug the USB cable.

I have configured the UDP as follows. F1 2020 uses 20777. In Simhub I have created 2 UDP relays to 20778 & 20779. In the SRS software I have hard-coded this to 20779. And in Simhub under F1 2020 I have said it to read 20778.

I have already tried the following to no avail:

- Ensure all USB cables from the Dash & SRS are plugged directly into USB3.0 slots in the back of the PC. Tried several ports even.

- Lowered the FPS of the screen to 30hz

When I run the Dashboard on my phone there are no problems whatsoever. It seems to be due to the USB connection?

Really need help on this and hope anyone out there has experienced similar issues.

Hi ! This looks like EMI indeed, first step I would check is if the issue is software side by simply removing power from your wind box, in this setup SRS should still send data to the wind box but fans won't run. I guess the issue should stop.

If it stops it clearly means you are suffering from EMI. I would try to change usbd480 cable with a thicker one with good insulation, try to route the usb cables on a separate path to the computer, if it's not enough I would add antiparasite ferrite core to the cables to reduce parasites effects.

@admin5435 Hi there, thanks for your tip. It was found to be indeed EMI. I placed ferrites on both the USB cables of the external dash (Simcore) and my fans (SRS) which did the trick.
