Hello, I hope all is well.

I am using the GS - Broadcast 2nd screen dashboard in rF2. Been using in short multiclass off line races at Lemans and it works great. It shows the correct info relative to other players. Decided to try a longer race which meant that I was going to be lapped at some point by faster class cars. When it happened the Gap info changed to +1 lap for the car that lapped me,which is correct, but for some reason the character "-" is shown for everyone else in the Gap column, which is incorrect. I am sure the info is still there given that the info shown by the rF2 dashboard remains accurate.

I asked Gary and he said he did not know as he using info from Simhub for the gap.

Leaderboard settings in Dash Studio are set to show leaderboard gap relative to player. Multiclass leaderboard is off. Any idea what can be happening?

Update:  I just tried the standard Simhub leaderboard and got the same issue as soon as I am lapped.

Thanks.

Hi ! Indeed as soon as you get lapped rf2 stops sending most of the gap data. It keeps sending only gaps which are 1lap away maximum from the leader if I remember correctly.

As a workaround you can switch to simhub computed gap, it won't be exactly the same as in-game gap as the full in-game computation details are not disclosed but it will work for more than 1 lap from the leader.

Thank you Wotever for the quick reply.  Thank you for your suggestion but the timing discrepancies are too high between game and Simhub settings.  I set  up the leaderboard gap to be relative to player and differences were in some cases 2 seconds when comparing it to internal rF2 dashboard.  This is not going to work.  It is unfortunate that the Simhub leaderboard does not work if you are lapped by a car.

I still think the information is there.  The Virtual Endurance Championship (VEC), which is a rF2 multiclass endurance league,  has a leaderboard set up with the gap relative to player and I can see the timings all the time for all the cars, even those being lapped.

Just wondering if you can take a look and confirm what happens with the info when a player is lapped.

Question. I am doing all this offline, is the information always available when you join a server?  That would explain why you can see the info in an online leaderboard.

Cheers,

I tried online and it works as expected.  I guess it is an issue with rF2 offline.

Cheers.

Hi Wotever, I hope all is well.

In a map is it possible to have dot color based on the class? For example that all the LPM2 are green, GTE orange and GT3 blue. Looked for an example everywhere and could not find one.

Cheers, Juan

Hi ! No it's not possible yet indeed. Configuring each class color would add too much complexity in the map component configuration in my opinion, taken into account that car class are not universally available across games. That's why I did not add it.
