LED strip question

Hello,

I play AC and have setup an LED strip as an rpm meter. It works wonderfully until I'm coming to a sharp turn and smash the brakes. It seems like once the rpm goes pretty low the leds, from led position 1 to position 17 out of 22, all light up and go out one at a time in sequence like the LEDs are "walking". It's like the rpm info just stops being reported, but once I hit the gas again everything is good again. A similar "walking" of LEDs happens when I press "trigger engine start" in the test data editor. Any idea what this is and how I can turn it off?
