Hi all

I have just put together a motor controller using an Arduino Uno & A couple AdaFruit V2.0 Motor shields, I am using it to control a mix of simple DC vibration motors and PC/Chassis fans. The Simple DC motors are working fine with the controller board, but i'm having dificulties when it comes to the fans, none of the fans that i have tried work well with the motor shield. Many of the fans i have tried are ones that I have left over from old PC builds etc, they include a few old Delta high speed fans (only work above 80%), TopMotor Fan (works OK but doesn't give much air flow) and a Sunon Maglev fan (starts at 40%, gets to its fastest speed at 65% then slows and vibrates beyond that) the fastest speed reached when plugged in to the controller is only a fraction compared to when it gets power direct from the PSU. I have tried lowering the PWM frequency of the board but it needs to be reduced to drastically for the fans begin to perform that the DC motors then start to misbehave.

Can anyone offer any suggestions to fans that work well with the motorshield, Ideally from UK suppliers. I am considering 80mm, 92mm & 120mm fans, the greater the airflow the better.
