Hi all, I have 2 x neopixel rings 24 x ws2812 5050 rgb wired in series which gives me 48 leds, I have the left 24 leds displaying brake percentage in red and the 25 - 48 leds displaying Throttle percentage in green. For the most part this works well but i find the 25 - 48 leds will sometime freeze or hang at a completely different color which can sometime take a second or 2 to refresh correctly. If i change the qty of leds on the arduino to 47 it seems to fix any freezing and the leds work perfect except for led 25 staying red. Any help appreciated.
Ok, it seems after 3 different usb cables it has rectified itself, will continue testing.
Well it wasn't the cable, re check grounds all ok, change uno to nano without any difference, with 48 leds set in arduino it hangs and freezes.(this does not seem to matter what is being output) If I set leds to 47 on arduino it works flawlessly except that it only shows 47leds. I thought 0-47 as 0 is counted and the 1st led ?
Replaced with a new ring and all is well, weird as all of the colours and amount of leds worked fine in the test
