In the log files, I only found errors cause by formulas trying to read nonexistent drivers club properties.
These should not cause the freezes, only missing club logos or names.

You mentioned even basic stuff like the time froze, this sounds to me like a rendering issue.

Try running your overlays in HTML mode and see if it helps.
I helped on my end with partial freezes of my leaderboards (which did not leave any trace in the logs either btw).

In dash studio settings, you can also bind a button to reload the overlay layout on the fly if this keeps happening.
This worked as well to unfreeze my leaderboards.

Do you remember the day and time of the freezes? In case I missed something.

Did the overlay also freeze on screen? Or only in VR?
If it only froze in VR but not on screen, this may not be an issue with SimHub but with OpenVRDesktopPortal.

Hello,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I don't know how to render them in html and then get them in the VR because openvrd needs a "windows" window to send it and I'm not sure I can downsize Chrome enough for that, i'll try.

It went tits up yesterday in the VEE race of 2030 before the end of the qualifying session, so probably 2034 or so.

It froze everywhere, not only in the VR.

Thanks again

To run an overlay in HTML mode

- Go to the overlay list
- Click the more button
- And click "Use HTML engine".
- Restart any running overlay
It will still run on it's own window.

I looked at the logs again, around this time, and only saw the same formula errors.
But it's throwing enough errors to make the logs hard to navigate tbh, so I can't say for sure I did not miss it.

SimHub is also trying to load missing club images, a LOT. 26000+ times in 40 minutes (log2)
[2022-01-26 20:33:14,982] INFO - Tried to load a missing library image : library:\Clubs\usa.png
I doubt this would cause the freezes, but it's worth noting.

I don't recognize these formulas and images about the drivers clubs, so I assume it's made by another user.
I'd suggest checking if they posted an update the dash/leaderboard running these formulas and images.
Or even reinstalling your current version of their dash to fix the missing images issue.
And if it comes with my IRacingExtraProperties plugins, please keep in mind it may be outdated compared to the one in my dash pack.

I hope this helps.

Hello Romain,

I'm using a all in one overlay which I've modified for my use, the club thing is the flag of the driver which I removed in the dashboard (i deleted the boxes that displayed the flags) but it seems it's still somewhere in the code so i'll look for that.

But i don't think it's the problem because i deleted these flag 2 months ago and i did not have the problem at the time, but i'm going to try to clean it.

I'll make an HTML overlay today, run it and see what happens, thanks again for the help

I'm having an issue with the DriverBehind gap relative to player... is like adding a lap... for example at Spa the car behind is 0.5 but simhub dash report 135.5

The gap is momentarily get right for a second when both cars cross the finish line, then immediately add the 135 seconds... not sure if this happen only at Spa... just noticed it now.

@massimo-berta Hi,
Were you driving the car, or spectating a teammate?
This is a known issue while spectating.
I've fixed it for the next update.

@romainrob yep was about to update my post, I was spectating my team mate and as soon as I got in the car all was back to normal.

Taking the opportunity to thank you for the amazing job you did with this plugin!

Hi,

1.1.8 Update

iRacing plugin:

  • Fixed the fuel to add value being one lap shorter than before the last update.
  • Enabled the per class leaderboard properties for AI racing (some of them still won’t update as AI cars are missing some data).
  • Made the number a rows of the standings overlay adjustable in the plugin settings.

Input overlay:

  • The RPM gauge now uses the per gear redline settings.
  • Added a minimum speed readout (holds for 10 sec).

Please notes that the modular input overlay and standings leaderboard overlay resolution changed. You’ll have to adjust your overlay layout and/or OBS sources.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the update. The changed to the Standings Overlay works perfect. Love to see some love to the Fuel Calculator. That is the only thing missing over something like Kapps or JRT Timing. Get that Fuel Calc on point and looking good. I will 100% donate some cash

Hi, I'm afraid I don't have plans to change the fuel calculator.
I kept it somewhat simple. Basically, total laps - covered distance * max or avg fuel consumption + 1 liter + user defined margin.
Now the total laps is a guessing game on time limited session. So I played it safe. It's overestimated, as it's based on your best lap time, and ignores the time/distance you'll loose when actually pitting.
In multi class sessions, there is also the risk of an extra lap. That's what the why the margin settings is 1 by default for timed sessions.

Hi,

1.1.9 Update

The main changes are:

  • New side menu icon and short name for each plugin.
  • Added Text to speech SimHub notifications (sounds plugin).
  • Focus on keeping more properties properly updating while spectating (mainly the relative gaps behind and lap tracking). Thanks to Retok for the replay! 🙂
  • Various iRacing properties rework.
  • New stint best lap time properties.

Previously mapped controls for the many-faced dash, simHUD projection and sounds plugins will be lost.
Please remap them.

Make sure to update SimHub.

Full list of changes available in the version history doc as usual.

Enjoy!

@tghost Hi. Sure!:)

- White = current speed
- Green = min speed over the last 10 seconds

Hi Romain,

Every time you update the collection we get a message asking if we want to download it. Is there any way to turn this message off? It's inconvenient because it prevents the tool (live telemetry) from loading.

Thanks,

AA

@romainrob awesome, thank you! Is there any way to extend the period that the input graph lines show, like extending the graph horizontally, so it represents a longer period of time for the inputs histogram?
