Hi to everyone, i´m having trouble with a Max7219 8x8 led matrix. Currently i have two Arduinos connected to SimHub. An Arduino UNO, with a DK Motor shield (they dont sell the better ones in my country), and an Arduino Nano, with 15 RGB leds for the tachometer, one tm1637 and one tm1638 for data display and recently the MAX7219. The matrix doesnt work at all, a few times it lights up all leds when i plug the USB but nothing happens. I thought that it was a power issue but i rewired everything to run from an external power supply and it does the same. Do you have any ideas of what could be happening?

Thanks in advance, sorry if i´m unclear i´m not a native english speaker, i´m from Argentina.

Hi....i think you are not attempting to power the MAX7219 module from the 5 V terminal on the UNO when powering it from the "Barrel jack" or the "Vin" terminal, are you?

You can only do that for a couple of modules if you are powering it through USB. The regulator in the UNO cannot supply other devices.
