Hey guys, im about to get my first bass shakers for my rig and im looking for all the stuff i need to get.

I will be getting 3 mini lfe (pedals, seat bottom, seat back) hooked to a t.amp E4-250. Im trying to figure out what type and how many cables i will need. The 3 bass shakers are supposed be adressed seperatly with different effects, therefore the 4 channel amp.

Now i will need 3 cabels going from each of the bass shakers to an own output channel. But will i also need 3 seperate cables going from my pc to the respective input channel, or am i only in need of one cable to input channel 1 which can controll all 3 output channels seperatly ?

I hope you get what i mean, im just totally confused in how to hook these up correctly.

Thanks

Niels

Hi,
If you PC outs are the usual stereo 3.5mm jacks, i believe you'll need 2 splitter cables, 3.5mm to 2xlr male, like these:

https://www.amazon.fr/NANYI-Splitter-Cables-Interconnect-microphone/

For example with your sound card in quadriphonic (or 5.1 or 7.1...) mode, you can send the signals like this

- Cable 1

- PC Front Left --> Amp Input 1

- PC Front Right --> Amp Input 2

- Cable 2

- PC Rear Left --> Amp Input 3

- PC Rear Right --> Amp Input 4

Using the amp stereo channel mode on both set of channels, to output each distinct channel in to his respective channel out.
I hope this helps.
Have fun with shake it!

Yea exactly, my pc has 3,5mm jacks.

Will the onboard sound unit be enough for my application or do i need an extra sound card ?

Its an aorus z490 master, the manual says theres this sound card installed "ESS SABRE Hi-Fi 9118 DAC".

Ill order the cables you suggested and see if it works out, thanks !

You can use any sound card as long as it has enough channels.
It's highly recommended to have a dedicated card for shake it.
So it's completely separate from what you use for audio.

The only audio running/attached are the speakers of my VR headset, which is attached via DP and USB. All 3,5mm jacks are unused.

Would you still recommend an additonal sound card ?

No, if your onboard card is free, you're good to go, use this one.
