Hi,

I am a huge fan of SimHub and think it is an immensely powerful tool - Thank you for the effort in creating it and sharing it with us all!

I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate rotary switches to the Arduino interface.

I appreciate the difficulty with settings in most games but I believe this could be got around in the following way;

Map a rotary switch such as this (link) to an Analogue in pin with a simple linear equation curve to give map positions 1-(x) within the sketch.

Knowing most switches will use 1k separation resistors and the Arduino operating voltage a generic curve wouldn't be hard to guess to simplify this.

Use the serial telemetry interface to query the in game map/TC/ABS setting in question. Using two mapped keys (like the Encoder up and down interface) correct the game setting based on the physical switch position.

Obviously this would need to be done only when in the game to stop any button spamming, but I think the interface would work well and allow for the use of more realistic switches as this is what a lot of cars use as their interface.

I hope the above makes sense and could be possible - it seems much simpler to me than some of the other interfaces I have seen where you need a separate keyboard key for every switch position.

Kind regards,

James
