Hello,

I am trying to replicate iRacing's Porsche 992 GT3 Cup dashboard on my cockpit dashboard.

The dasboard of that car has 4 sets of lights on the sides to warn about each wheel locking up during braking.

I downloaded some extra iRacing properties back in the day, but I am not finding any property for that kind of data.

Maybe someone has created those properties already? If anyone knows anything about the matter, please let me know. Thank you!

Hi ! You won't find it unfortunately. Such data is not available from iRacing as it's considered as an "unfair advantage" by iRacing developers. I would love that they changes their mind about it a day or another.

@admin5435 Oh wow, Mr. Wotever himself.

First of all, thank you very much for creating such an amazing tool. Forever grateful to you man.

Hope the licences I have purchased along these years have at least paid for a few coding day lunches xD.

I was going to say that it doesn't make any sense because the 992 has those kind of warnings in its display, and I am just trying to bring the same functionalities of the game display to my display, but now that I am thinking about it, it's true that we could enable this for example for a Mazda MX-5 Cup, and I agree that would indeed be an unfair adavantage.

I am going to try to get in contact with them, to see if I somehow can convince them to enable this kind of data for cars that actually support it.

You wouldn't happen to have the access to the source of them saying this kind of data would be an unfair advantage right? To use it in my conversation with them basically.

Thank you very much in advance!

Thanks a lot ! Lot of coffees 😉

The unfair advantage philosophy is something I've read a few times, I can't remember where to be honest , but it explains very well all the missing telemetry channels which are usually available on other games (wheel slip, wheel lock, real time temperatures, real time tire wear), Iracing telemetry is really rich, but those particular category of "physics" data are all missing. I can imagine easily how to build some kind of launch control based on wheel slip for instance, add a virtual abs on a car where it's not available ...

Some games also starts to "censor" such data (rf2 GT3's for instance) to respect non disclosure agreements about how the car handles. But I don't think it's this specific case which comes into play for iracing because they never exposed those data.

Thank you very much for such a detailed explanation. I totally understand now, and it sucks ;(

I will ask them anyways, maybe there's something that can be done for specific cars, or simpler systems like the 992 Cup where a simple individual wheelspeed channel would totally work in this case.
