Hey @romainrob ,

A little issue I'm seeing with your relative.  I noticed the time behind seem to be way off.

I've attached a screenshot of yours and another which is actual.

Let me know if you're aware of this.  This is during the Suzuka 10hr.

Cheers!

Hi,
I'll admit, my gap computation has it's quirks, mainly on the grid, first and last lap and when 2 cars are side by side.
Here it seems there is one lap added to the gap behind in the screenshot.

I suspect this is a team session related issue.
In team sessions some things get messy, as the data used by the plugin only partially updates when a team mate is driving.
I don't test for team events at all anymore tbh.

Were you driving the car at that point?
If not did it fix itself on your next stint?

Hi,

Yes, I've had the same problem for a long time. It doesn't happen in individual races, but it does happen in team races. And no, when I'm the one driving, it doesn't solve the problem.

The pit time calculation is also somewhat erratic (standings overlay).

Cheers!

Hi,
Note that the time in pit requires your client gets all the cars data at all times for proper tracking.
I suspect, even when set properly (max cars 64 and best connection type in the account settings) the game arbitrarily stops sending some cars data at points. It may be a server load management thing.

Still I took note of these issues and added them to my list of thing to look into.

Hi.
A new update is available, bringing:

  •  ACC rain forecast to the Many-Faced Dash
  •  An iRacing_Player_ClassIndex property
  •  An updater plugin
  •  A smarter installer

More details in the version history

Links here

Enjoy!

Hi @romainrob, thanks for making this excellent plugin pack. I'm having an issue with the RSC-Input Display feature. For some reason the wheel image isn't showing up. The rotation telemetry is working fine (I can see the grey line in the middle moving with the wheel rotation)- just the image of the wheel isn't there. In the SimHub settings the image appears fine in the steering section. I've tried selecting multiple wheel images. Nothing displays next to the telemetry waves. Any ideas?

@straytexel Hi,
Whoops! That's a last minute change gone wrong...
I use a hard-coded list of the wheels I own so I missed it.

I just shared an update to fix this.
I guess it's time to test the new update checker plugin.
You should get a notification after restarting SimHub if the plugin is enabled
If not Links here

Thanks for reporting the issue.

Hello Romain,

Here's my dash, there are stilll the extra pages "pit and start" and "radar" but I cannot go to them.

Now i'm facing a dilemma.....should i make 1 giant overlay with a transparent background for the driving view or should i make several widgets included in the same overlay, what would be the less demading in terms of CPU and GPU power ?

Ideally I'd like to keep the radar always on (so on the main page) and have the pit tools active only when I'm in the pits (which is more or less the case now because I have several pit distances which are working right now)

I never could make the clutch start thing work, I can see it doing it's thing but it seems like it's never saving anything and so I cannot use it (on top of that i cannot see it 🙂  )

Thanks for all the help.

I restarted SimHub a couple times but never saw a prompt :(. However, I did a manual reinstall with 1.1.2 and the wheel is back! Works great. Thanks Rob!

Ok, thanks for the feedback
I tested the update notification on another PC and it worked on my end.
It requires the "RSC - Updater" plugin to be enabled.
I added a delay so the message box appears around 10 seconds after SimHub starts if an update is available.
Maybe it popped in the background.
I didn't find a way to have pop on top without being always on top, which I didn't want.

Hi,
I can't get SimHub to pick up the dash.
It won't appear in my list.
Try exporting it as a simhubdashfile.

It's recommended to reduce the overlay surface as much as possible.
https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/wiki/Dash-Studio-Overlays#performances
The light and dots radars are not a good example...
Idk how this applies to VR tbh. I have almost no experience with dashboards in VR.

Regarding the clutch bite point, you can look at this property:
ExtraInputProperties.ClutchBitePoint
and/or this file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SimHub\PluginsData\Common\ExtraInputProperties.ClutchBitePoints.json
To see it the plugin is doing it's job.
From memory,  the file only updates when the plugin shuts down (game change or SimHub exit).

The bite point is represented by a red line.
If you moved the gauge, you'll have to fix the the red line top position fx.

@jch I just took a quick look and didn't see any issue to cycle through the screens.
Double check your control mappings in Dash Studio / Settings.
The Show next/previous dash screen controls work for me.

Hey @romainrob ,

I'm having an issue with your "iRacing - Universal iRacing Dash" on my iPad.  Ever since I updated my iPad to iOS 15.x, this one dash no longer works.  When I try to start it, it hangs on the starting screen but then my overlays and LED flag indicator starts flashing until I quit the dash startup.  Seems like there's some sort of conflict.  I've included the log file here to see if you can see what's going on.

Cheers!
